Hello!
This is unrelated to this site but I have started a massage and hypnotherapy business in Guildford, Surrey, and I wanted to share the address on my blog!
It is called body and mind.
There is a 50% off voucher for massage treatments on my site, valid until the end of January, in case you are in the area!
Cheers,
Claire.

Enter competitions (easily) and win stuff!
I love entering competitions. From time to time, I take a couple of hours and go on The Prize Finder and enter all the competitions I am interested in (and sometimes not so interested in...).
The Prize Finder is great because it doesn't only have the big competitions from the main competitions websites but also random websites, where you can be sure that less people will enter. I tend to favour the latter, and I always win something after spending an hour or two! I like the element of surprise when you receive an unexpected parcel...
So far, I have won some underwear, some baby stuff (ok, I don't have a baby, but one day...), tickets to the theatre, hair products, DVDs, and a bag. Oh and a makeover session I didn't attend - shame on me!
I also tend to enter competitions from websites on which you don't have to register, or from websites which have several competitions at the same time, so that it makes it worth it...
And the secret to save a lot of time entering these competitions is to use the "AutoFill" tool in the Google tool bar! Most forms are recognised by this magic little tools and it will fill in your details, or at least some of them, just by pressing the AutoFill button!
Good luck!

Make money from posting in forums!

I discovered only two days ago that some websites pay you to create new discussions and to reply to other people's posts!
Ok, you will never be able to live off it, but if you do enjoy posting and interacting with people on line anyway, you might as well use that website!
That website is called myLot and already has almost 200,000 users.
You get payed every time you post, reply to a post, get replies to your post, or every time someone you've referred does any of the above.
MyLot don't say exactly how much is payed per post because it depends on the length of it etc, but it looks like it is around 0.5 cents per post. Ok, it's not much, but since you also get some money from the answers to your post etc, it can add up! I have read about a lot of people who reach the minimum of payment of $10 every month (payed via paypal).
Just don't give up your day job just yet! ;)

Saving and earning money on Amazon

Amazon has been one of my favourite websites for a long long time.
Not only can you find most books, CDs, and DVDs on amazon, but you can also find them much cheaper than in the shops.
Here are the various ways you can save and even earn money with Amazon:
1- Most books, CDs and DVDs sold by Amazon are already cheaper than those you can find in the shops. But you also have the possibility for most items to buy them through "Amazon Market Place" for cheaper. And they are not always second-hand - some companies also sell new stuff on Amazon Market Place.
Be careful though because you usually don't have to pay P&P when you use Amazon but do when you use a different seller, so make sure the price difference is worth it!
So get started! If you're in the UK: Amazon UK, and if you're in the US: Amazon US
Also, for anyone in the UK, P&P is free on Amazon (not the Market Place though) regardless of the amount spent until the 1st January 2010!
2- What do you do with your old books and DVDs? If I know I am not going to use them again, I often sell them on Amazon. Unlike ebay (which is good for other types of items), you don't have to worry about creating an advert or about paying fees for something that is not selling. All you have to do is enter the title, or even just the ISBN, and set a price and that's it.
You can see what the lowest price is when you put your item on sale, so you can choose to sell your item for a few pennies (cents!) less if you want a quick sale! I have often sold books within a few hours doing that.
And you only pay if and when your item sells. You can also tell Amazon when you are on holiday, or change the price at any time. It's very flexible!
To get started, if you are in the UK: Marketplace UK
3- If you have more than just a few books to sell, you can even have your own little store on Amazon. For only £28.75, or $39.99 per month, you can take advantage of the huge traffic on Amazon to sell your own items (with an extra fee for each item that sells)!
For more info and to get started: Amazon UK
4- Finally, if you too have a blog, or any other kind of website, you can register as an associate on Amazon. For instance, say you are blogging about motorbikes. You can recommend cool books about motorbikes on your blog, put a link on your blog towards the book on Amazon, and you will get a percentage of the sales from anyone who follows the link! Pretty cool if you have a blog anyway, you might as well make a few quids off it!
To register or read more about the scheme: Amazon UK

Hello!
Ever since I have started using the internet, I have tried to use it to find cheap stuff or even to earn money.
Having some time to spare at the moment, I thought I would start a blog on the subject, especially considering we are in the middle of recession...
So on this blog I will try to share with you my tips to save and even earn money online!
